Dr. Wayne R. Meylor

Dr. Wayne R. Meylor was born in Cherokee, Iowa, and raised on a farm in rural Cherokee.

Dr. Wayne R. Meylor is a 1979 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. While at Palmer College, Dr. Meylor received specialized training in areas involving radiology and various techniques. His undergraduate work was at the University of Northern Iowa.

Dr. Meylor is a recipient of the Ambassador Award from Palmer College, which is an award in excellence in chiropractic service, as well as being selected as a Counselor for Pinnacle Management Group and was honored as Dr. of the year in 2012. He was also awarded an Outstanding ICS member Award by the Iowa Chiropractic Society in 2012. Dr. Meylor lectures frequently across the U.S.

Dr. Meylor and his wife, Kris, have four children who are all in the profession. They are members of the All-Saints Parish and have resided in Le Mars since 1979. The Meylor family enjoys numerous activities including all outdoor sports boating, fishing, and hunting.

Dr. Meylor is one of 42 Chiropractors in his family tree and He has an advanced certification in Acupuncture.

Dr. Conor Kneip

Dr. Conor Kneip graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA October 2020. Prior to his time at Palmer, Dr. Kneip graduated from the University of Northern lowa with a degree in Exercise Science/Biology.

Dr. Kneip was born and raised here in LeMars. He attended Gehlen Catholic and graduated in 2012, From a young age he was involved in many sports where he received multiple injuries. Dr. Kneip’s interest in Chiropractic started when he began treatment and saw all of the benefits that come from a natural, corrective form of care. Having been a patient of Dr. Meylor’s in the past, Dr. Conor was thrilled for the opportunity to come back and serve his community through chiropractic care.

In his free time, Dr. Kneip enjoys doing almost any outdoor activity. He is also a member of All Saints Catholic Parish & is looking forward to being involved in his community.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Consultation
You will have a 1 on 1 visit with the doctor to discuss your health concerns and the reason for your visit.

Examination
After your initial health consultation, we’ll perform a complete & comprehensive chiropractic exam.

X-rays
A series X-rays may be needed to allow us to clearly determine a proper care plan. X-Rays provide us with an objective diagnostic tool that will show us the position of the spinal bones, as well as the quality of the spine and safety of adjusting it. We also use X-rays to determine how long a spinal condition has been developing.

Report of findings
Your report of findings will be scheduled the day after your Initial Consultation. This will allow for your doctor to study your exam findings, at which point we will share the results that we found with you. You may invite anyone in your family to accompany you, if you choose. Your Report of Findings includes a detailed analysis of what you need in order to solve the problem that brought you into our office and what can be done in order to assure that it won’t happen again. We consider your current lifestyle choices, goals for the future and challenges that are standing in your way. This is why our recommendations are extremely comprehensive and have the chance to be the solution that you have been seeking to find.

Ongoing
Our entire staff strives to keep waiting times to a minimum, so we ask that all patients be prompt for their appointments so we can stay on track. Your adjustments will be given by the doctor, then anything else done during that visit will depend on the doctor’s recommendations. Stretching, exercise instruction, or other advice, may be given as part of the doctor’s plan for you. Questions are not only welcomed, they are encouraged. Knowledge is power.

I don't typically leave reviews but there is no way I couldn't for Dr. Meylor and his staff. Dr. Meylor and his his staff have been amazing!! I was very apprehensive about taking my 2 little guys to the chiropractor (ages 1 and 2) but it was the best choice we have made in their health. Both of the boys were born prematurely. MJ, 1 year old (born at 30 weeks), was a very spitty baby. We tried changing his formula, how much he got, and even tried acid reflex meds and nothing seemed to work. After just seeing Dr. Meylor a couple of times he is no longer spitting up at every meal. Kashe, 2 years old (born at 27 weeks), has had a very rough road and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy July 2019. I did not realize how much it could help with his muscle tone and spasm. After the first visit his tone had improved so much and has only continued to get better. He had developed a curve to his spine but this has significantly gotten better, and also his feet would point outward all the time and now with the weekly adjustments they are almost all the way pointing straight. Doing physical therapy with him at home, we have also seen so much improvements with him wanting to do more and achieving more. Lastly, I have also started seeing Dr. Meylor for myself. I was in a bad car accident almost 13 years ago and had broken my neck and was told I was never able to go to a chiropractor. I have had very little mobility in my neck and severe pain all throughout my back for years. But I have seen so many improvements in being able to turn my neck all the way and not having to take Tylenol or ibprophen everyday for pain. Again, I would recommend going to see Dr. Meylor to anyone of any age!

I am really impressed with the chiropractic care I’ve received over the past 2 weeks. Being a patient of chiropractic care for 20 + years, I do know that not every practitioner is a great fit for every client. I was hesitant to start over with someone new after moving to Le Mars 6 months ago. My only regret is that I didn’t see Dr. Meylor sooner. I was having a tingle and numb sensation in my leg caused from some underlying back issues.
